Indefinite Articles: ein, eine – A1 Grammar
In German, the indefinite articles (Indefiniter Artikel) are ein and eine. They change based on the gender of the noun that follows:

When to use ein / eine:
- When something or someone is unknown or is mentioned for the first time.
- When you want to say “a” or “an” in English or «یک» in Persian.
More examples:
- Das ist eine Studentin. — That is a student (female).
- Die Studentin heißt Sotoudeh. — The student’s name is Sotoudeh.
- Ich möchte ein Glas Wasser. — I would like a glass of water.
