Yes/No Questions (Ja/Nein-Frage)
Yes/No questions can be answered with “yes” or “no.” In these questions, the verb comes first.
Example:
- Er kommt aus Deutschland. — He comes from Germany. (statement)
- Kommt er aus Deutschland? — Does he come from Germany? (yes/no question)
- Ja. — Yes.
