Articles in German (Artikel) – A1 Grammar
An article (Artikel) is a word placed before a noun to show its gender, case, and number. In German, there are several types of articles:
Types of articles:
- Definite article (Definite Artikel): der, die, das
- Indefinite article (Indefinite Artikel): ein, eine
- Negative article (Negativartikel): kein, keine
- Zero article (Nullartikel): no article is used before some nouns
Examples:
